Photographic Voice

I picked this photo of a bookshelf as my best for emulating Uta Barth's work. Though the subjects are different, I think the warm lighting and sunlight reflects Barth's work. The hardest part of this assignment was trying to decide what elements of each photograph to emulate. In the future, I think I will experiment even more before selecting the final images. I think having more to choose from and allowing myself to embrace unsuccessful attempts in order to find something I'm even more happy with.

I think this photo does a great job of emulating Taylor-Wood. The pose and demeanor of the subject does a good job of mimicking the atmosphere of the Taylor-Wood photo. I think the use of black and white also really fits this photo to bring attention to the athlete specifically.
